V8:The MAF

Virtual events are back! Just something different again. A mix of live – for anyone local to Stafford or those who wish to travel and virtual, for all those who are not local.

V8 : The MAF (Maximum Aerobic Function)

You run/walk a total of 10km the MAF STYLE ( slow, very slow) so you all would stay in your ‘MAF Heart Rate Zone’ ( very low, think roughly HR zone 2 ). These zones are individually calculated, the right way, taking all kind of circumstances into calculation - you'd need to contact Slav after registration.

For those who live locally and /or wish to travel – We will meet on Sunday the 9th of January – a fantastic opportunity to kick start 2022 off as a team too! – Castle Fields Estate, Martin Drive car park (off the Newport Road), Stafford and aim to start at 9am – the event is out and back on a flat route.

For those who are not local - you would have all day Sunday the 9th of January to do your 10k MAF run.

Everyone is running at their own MAF pace, staying in their own HR zone. No heart rate monitor? No drama, I am sure some of us have some spares to borrow, I personally have got 2 chest straps you can borrow. If not, why not ask Santa for a new watch? 🤔 😁 Hand-made Medal for everyone and, this time, all profits after fees and costs will go to local Stafford Animal Charity Boycie’s Bridge. These guys do amazing work locally and are getting very busy re-homing dogs.

As this is a MAF event – you do not get timed, and there are no places – everyone is running their own race, so everyone is a winner!!
